Who we are

The Pad Programme (TPP) is a youth led program supporting the rights of girls and women through Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH) development to implement Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Uganda.

The Pad Programme identified a gap that lack of access to Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) is major roadblock to achieving several Global Goals, including Goal 3 (good health and well-being), Goal 4 (quality education) and Goal 6 (clean water and sanitation)

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) do not include direct reference to menstruation, the reference to “the needs of women and girls and those in vulnerable situations” in SDGs target on access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene is commonly understood to include Menstrual Hygiene.
